Designed and implemented ecommerce solution to increase sales from our customers. Developed a hosted ecommerce solution for retail partners. Implemented system integration with business partners. Identified the limitation of current system and developed improvement. Network and servers configuration. Consolidated servers via virtualization technologies. Provided on-site troubleshooting, training and demonstration to clients.

Major Accomplishments:

  • Redesigned the UI of Wilson’s internal system to streamline users’ experience and allow staff working at least 3 times more efficient than before.
  • Designed and implemented an e-commerce solution, alongside with Wilson’s wholesale website, for the retail customers to setup an online store with thousands of products available immediately to their customers.
  • Developed a supply chain e-ordering and invoicing link connecting Wilson’s internal system with Retailers by Tower Systems.
  • Monitored and analyzed the status, such as usage trend and performance, of Wilson’s managed websites using Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools.
  • Upgraded the report generation engine to allow faster report generation while maintaining professional layout.
  • Decided and managed the migration to Google hosted email service so as to maximize availability and reduce managing costs.
  • Consolidated servers using VMWare virtualization.
  • Implemented VPN connection between Wilson’s head office in Melbourne and the dedicated hosting location in Sydney.

Served as the chief software programmer to design and develop tailored software solutions to different business sectors. Major clients include Office Mate (formerly Fenton Business Products) and the Victoria Schoolwear Company. Redesigned legacy accounting and inventory control system to comply with current Australian accounting practice. Implemented source code version control system. Provided on-site troubleshooting, training and demonstration to clients.

Major Accomplishments:

  • Customized and tailored legacy US accounting software to work in a Australian wholesale, retail and/or secondhand goods trading environment, refreshed with XP style look & feel.
  • Designed a unique off-site/offline POS system where terminal could be detached from the main network and data can be synchronized back to the server via mobile internet or when it reattached to the network.
  • Developed a multi-purpose communication link between Connectbt’s accounting product and electronic cash registers (Sam4s ER-600 and SER-7000) in order to exchange sales and stock records efficiently.
  • Integrated EFTPOS terminal to work with the POS system.
  • Implemented a number of osCommerce based e-commerce websites and integrated payment gateway from National Australia Bank.
  • Implemented source version control system and policies initially in CVS, then migrated to Subversion so that changes could be tracked more effectively.
