Read more →因為買左Dreamhost的hosting…. 前幾日正式cancel左同godaddy的hosting & request refund. 9月renew的, 個hosting contract, total 167.76 USD. renew左兩年, 用左3個月左右……… 所以都仲有大部份未用, 可以refund返 146.79 USD. 之前都仲晌度諗, 因為我用AUD比$$, 有匯率的差價. 當時AUD to USD咁高匯率, 現在落到咁低, 會唔會賺左果三個月的匯率差價…… 今日見到我credit statement…. refund返尼的$$仲多過本身我比的$$ 賺左三個月hosting仲有廿幾蚊賺呢…….. should I thank for the economy downturn?
Read more →之前講左好耐轉hosting.. 終於買左hosting package la. 雖然舊hosting仲有成年幾未用. 但新hosting比舊hosting比, 實在係方便太多了. 而且, 晌公司都可以connect到. 有unlimited disk space同bandwidth. 應該唔會令我失望.
Read more →哈, 作為IT人, 係時候都要寫返一篇同IT有關的野先得吧. 之前我的email, 只係用返godaddy本身的email forward service, 再forward去我Gmail的account. 不過, 咁做始終都係有某程度上的不便.. 所以呢, 今日晌公司 =.= 無乜特別的野做的時候, 就將我本身domain的email records, 改左去Google Apps, 正式將個email hosting交比google尼做. 其實, 整個的migration過程係好smooth. 基本上, 好straight forward, 無乜難度. 唯一有少少annonying的係要等DNS records updated/active. 整個migration過程花左我大約3至4個鐘左右. 大部份時間都係fine tune個layout同埋等records active. 雖然我只係migrate一個account, 不過, 估計, 如果細公司, 本身個mail system又唔係太complex的話, 應該半日內都可以migrate哂………. 諗諗下, suggest下自己公司都migrate埋去google個Apps platform. 唔使自己maintain, 又唔使$$. 每人有6GB.
